Filmed Elephants in Zimbabwe which included the night predation scene. Filmed the night scenes with A Sony FX6 mounted in the Shotover M1 gimbal. The day scenes were shot on a Red in the M1.

Shooting on Super 16mm for various films including ‘Perfect Mothers, Perfect Predators’, ‘The Mating Game’, ‘River Dinosaur’, ‘Horn vs. Claw’, ‘Brotherhood’ and ‘Jamu, the Orphaned Leopard’ (all distributed by Explore International). Locations included the Maasai Mara in Kenya, the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, and Londolozi Game Reserve in the Eastern Transvaal, South Africa.

Filming in the Okavango Delta for stock library footage on Betacam SP. This entailed setting up special camera rigs on filming vehicles, boats, airboats, helicopters and aeroplanes. Constructed various sets for filming insects, snakes, birds etc, which had to resemble their natural habitat exactly.

Employed as Production Manager doing various Corporate, Training and product launch videos for clients such as Toyota, Nissan, SA Eagle, and Coca-cola. Whilst at Catchlight I also completed an Environmental Awareness documentary. Experience gained here included budgeting, production and post-production.


PRE 1990 South Africa

Grip in the film industry. Bundu Thatch – partner in small thatching business. 4WD Traction. – Developed and installed a Suspension system and diff-lock for Toyota Vehicles. Rebuilt Toyota Landcruisers for the Safari industry. Geological Field Technician.
